Polymer Flexi Separators (Air Cell) (RFS) has been designed for flat ended cylindrical steel conservators of oil cooled power transformers. RFS provides a permanent, flexible and non-porous barrier between the atmosphere and the transformer oil, without affecting the operational function of the system. RFS is an inflatable Air Cell made out of highly resistant fabric coated on both sides. Internally, it is coated to be transformer oil resistant and externally to be ozone and weather resistant. Both the coatings are heat resistant. Polymer Flexi Separators fitted inside a conservator compensates oil volume displacement due to temperature variation while in operation. It ensures: An efficient variation between transformer oil and air Protection against water vapor Suppression of gas bubble formation in the transformer oil Compensation of large volume changes Specifications: The dimensions of the Polymer Flexi Separators are determined according to the dimensions of the conservator.
